Ideas for your next Instagram post

One of the most used and appreciated features by NJL users is the suggestions for the next post to publish. This section is designed to help those using Instagram for work, with advice based on the phases of the algorithm, optimal posting times, recommended formats, and suggestions on the goals your next content should aim for.

Everything evolves—algorithms change and new technologies emerge. That’s why we have further improved this feature: in addition to suggestions, explore over 40 innovative ideas for Instagram posts, each tailored to your strategic goals.

Not Just Analytics suggestions

Creativity is one piece of creating your Instagram posts; data is the other. The trick to creating increasingly successful posts is to combine them! For this reason, the “Next Post” function is a great ally in content creation: it combines the results of your posts with NJL’s experience in data analysis.

In the “Suggestions for the Next Post” section, you’ll find:

🔥 Algorithm phase: knowing which phase of the algorithm your profile is in helps you maximize the results of your posts. If you want to delve deeper into how the algorithm phases work, this is the article for you!

🔥 Best time to post: we recommend the best available time to post your content, based on the performance of your past content and the times when your followers are online (no, it’s not enough to just look at when most people are active).

🔥 Recommended format: what is the format that optimizes the results of the content you want to create? Thanks to the analysis of your posts, we can tell you! Psst… remember to also try new things!

🔥 Recommended goal for the post: for each phase of the Algorithm (positive, neutral, or negative), there is a specific goal that is recommended to pursue. For example, if you are in a negative phase, it’s the best time to talk to your community and strengthen the relationship.

🔥 Over 40 practical ideas: how do I combine all this information into one post? This is our new feature! Inside the “Next Post” section, you’ll find ideas that help you create your post based on the Algorithm phase you’re in and the suggested goal!

How and where to activate it?

> Go to the “your profiles” section
> Click on one of your profiles to analyze business profiles
> Scroll to the “Next Post” page (it’s the first page that opens!)

There’s no need to manually activate this function, as it is already available to all NJL subscribers!

If you’ve read the in-depth article on the Algorithm phases, you’ll know that to optimize the results of your content, you need to follow a few simple, precise rules: 1) define the goal before creating the content; 2) the goal varies based on the algorithm phase your profile is in; 3) use the format that best suits the algorithm phase and the post’s goal.

But what are these goals?

  • Growth & visibility: being in a positive phase of the algorithm means your content has a higher chance of gaining more reach. It’s a great time to make the world aware of your presence! So, create general interest content aimed at reaching new people and converting them into new followers.
  • Community: negative doesn’t mean bad! When you’re in a negative phase of the Algorithm, the coverage of your posts will primarily be distributed among your followers. Use this opportunity to strengthen your bond with your community.
  • Sales: it’s not necessary to reach large numbers to sell your product, but to reach the right people! That’s why when you are in a negative phase, it’s the ideal time to convert those who follow you into customers.
  • Positioning: All those contents that have no particular claims, except to enhance your brand’s perception in the eyes of your community and potential customers.

In this update to the “Next Post” section, for each recommended goal for your next post, you’ll find practical suggestions that you can follow to create specific content, based on the phase of the algorithm you are in!

Final thoughts

This new feature was born from our Customer Care team, after listening to the needs of a Social Media Manager, an active NJL customer, who expressed the need for clearer and more practical advice on what content to publish. The user felt stuck with only advice on timing, format, and objectives: they lacked inspiration on what exactly to publish. Thanks to this feedback, we have implemented this improvement, which we believe will be of great utility to influencers, creators, freelancers, companies, SMMs, and even agencies!

With that said, remember these are suggestions, not obligations! In other words: don’t let the algorithm stifle your creativity!
