Competitor and influencer analysis

What is competitor and influencer analysis for?

The competitor and influencer analysis feature lets you explore public insights on Instagram profiles, helping you gain detailed insights into:

competitors, so you can compare strategies and growth

influencers and creators, to assess potential collaborations

clients or partners, to monitor how their profiles evolve

Let’s see how to use this feature!

1️⃣ Accessing the analysis feature

  1. Log in to Not Just Analytics and go to the ‘Competitors & Influencer’ section.
  2. Enter the Instagram username of the profile you want to analyze.
  3. Click ’Analyse’ to begin the profile review.

After the analysis, you’ll see a profile summary card with:

Key data:

✔ total number of followers

✔ average likes and comments per post

Engagement Rate, calculated by comparing interactions with followers

📌 Follow/Unfollow notice: Not Just Analytics detects whether the profile uses the follow/unfollow technique (following and then unfollowing users to gain followers). This practice is not recommended, as it results in poorly engaged, off-target followers.

The follower growth chart shows how the profile has changed over time.

✔ The available history depends on when the profile was first analyzed on the platform

✔ Without an active subscription, you can view up to one month of historical data

4️⃣ Daily growth and daily following

This section shows the profile’s day-to-day activity:

✔ the number of followers gained or lost each day

✔ how many accounts were followed or unfollowed daily

If you have an active subscription, you can adjust the date range using the slider tool.

5️⃣ Recent activity summary

In the summary of the last week or month, you’ll find:

✔ the number of posts published in the selected period

This overview helps you understand the profile’s recent trends.

6️⃣ Hashtag analysis

hashtag rate, measuring the interactions achieved per hashtag

ranking of the most effective hashtags the profile has used
